Lizzie and Kevin had their engagement session at the beautiful Hartford City Hall. While I usually love photographing outdoor sessions, in this session I got to be a little more creative and really play with the stunning architecture that Hartford City Hall had to offer.

I always love knowing my couple’s stories and asked Kevin and Lizzie to share their proposal story with me. Here’s their story in LIzzie’s words:

“Kevin and I were first introduced by mutual friends at a New Year’s Eve party in 2013. We started dating that spring once Kevin came home from college and have been inseparable since! On a random Saturday in May, Kevin surprised me with a proposal.  While we were out, his family had decorated our whole house with pictures, flowers, candles, and luminaries that said “Will you marry me?” Even our dog had a new bowtie on for the occasion. Of course I said yes, and both our friends and families were on standby to come celebrate with us. It was the best day ever, and we can’t wait to tie the knot on NYE 2023!”

Here are a few of my favorite images from this beautiful Hartford City Hall engagement session! Make sure to come back in early 2024 to see their New Year’s Eve Wedding!

About Nicole

With perspective, a seasoned eye, and dedication to a documentary style that doesn’t overlook the classic portraits.

Nicole has more than a decade of experience using film and digital imagery to document celebrations throughout the East Coast. Based in Connecticut, but with roots in a small town outside of Naples, she starts nearly every day sitting at the table with three generations — herself, her mother and her grandmother — sharing coffee and Italian cookies. (Four generations if you count her dog, Killian.) Personally trained by the industry’s best, her work carries the weight of a legacy, refined with dedication to the artistry and the personalization required for an iconic wedding.
